Andrew Kelly, DDS
Educational Background:
Undergraduate degree in Medical Microbiology with a minor in Chemistry
from California State University at Long Beach 1979
1983 Graduate of Howard University College of Dentistry
Professional Summary:
After graduating from Howard University in 1983, Dr. Kelly accepted
a position working with one of his former professors and also worked
at the University as an Academic Reinforcement Instructor. Dr. Kelly
realized that this was not the career path that he wished to follow
so he moved back to Los Angeles, California to establish his practice.
While waiting to pass the board examination Dr. Kelly worked at
Southern California Edison Company as a Medical Analyst. This allowed
Dr. Kelly to negotiate health care contracts and it also gave Dr.
Kelly the opportunity to conduct health care seminars for the employees
of the company.
After passing the California Dental Board, Dr. Kelly worked in
several private and group dental practices to gain clinical and
business experience. After approximately 2 years Dr. Kelly established
his first practice in Ladera Heights, California. After six years
in this location Dr. Kelly outgrew this facility and moved his practice
to Playa Del Rey, California which was approximately five miles
away. After two years at this location Dr. Kelly purchased a second
location in Inglewood, California. After several years Dr. Kelly
decided that he wanted to practice in an environment that would
allow him to practice his profession and sharpen his management
skills. Dr. Kelly moved to North Carolina and accepted a job with
a large dental management company. After being there for two years
Dr. Kelly decided to go back to private practice.
Since arriving in North Carolina Dr. Kelly has served as a Deputy
Examiner for the North Carolina Sate Board of Dental Examiners.
Also Dr. Kelly donates several hours of his time per month to free
dental clinics in the Piedmont Triad Area. Dr. Kelly is an active
member of the Forsyth County Dental Society, The American Dental
Association, The North Carolina Dental Society, The Piedmont Society
of Advanced Dental Studies, International Congress of Oral Implantology,
Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry and an Associate
Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. Dr. Kelly is
an avid learner and strives to stay well informed of all new techniques
and developments in his beloved profession.

Management Team
Shirley Kelly
She has more than 18 years of management experience in a variety
of industries. Before starting her company, she worked as a regional
manager for BrightNow! Dental, one of the leading DPM Corporations
in the nation. She managed multiple facilities and was responsible
for all aspects of operations from staffing, implementation of policy
and procedures, OSHA compliance to setting incentives and achieving
financial goals of the her region. She suggested many ideas that
helped increase collections and revenues. She also reduced the turnover
of her region by 15%.
Shirley began her dental career
in 1994, as an administrator for a private dental practice. Within
two years she helped expand the practice to include a second location.
Prior to working in the dental industry, she worked as a manager
for an independent automobile leasing company.
Shirley earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration
and a certificate in human resource management from University
of Phoenix. In addition to her professional career, she enjoys
traveling, jigsaw puzzles, reading, and spending time with her
family.
Raised in Los Angeles, California, Shirley now lives with her
husband, son and pet poodles in North Carolina. Shirley is a member
of several organizations including the Professional Women of Winston
Salem, Linda Miles Annual Speaker Consultant Network, NAFE and
does volunteer work at various places around the area.
Shirley Kelly is president of Dental Office Solutions, LLC, a dental
staffing firm that provides temporary and permanent employees to
dental practices in the Winston Salem area. Shirley also provides
practice management consulting through Shirley M. Kelly & Associates,
a subsidiary of Dental Office Solutions. Shirley M. Kelly & Associates
is a consulting firm that provides practice management services
to small and medium size dental practices. She consults with dentists
and their staff to help create management solutions to reduce or
eliminate various problems.

Misty is a graduate of the Guilford Tech. Community College Dental
Assisting program. Misty has been a dental assistant for 12 years
and has worked with various types of dental implants for 9 years.
Misty is a proud mother who enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending
summers at Badin Lake with her family.
